Both Summer Exploration sessions open to students entering grades 7 - 9
Session 1 - June 25th - July 6, 2012
(Program does not meet on Wednesday July 4th)
Session 2 - July 16 - July 26, 2012
Each summer HCI offers a FREE two-week discovery experience at Cuyahoga Community College to help students explore their interest in pursuing a healthcare career. A wide range of career options are examined through career assessments, facility tours, field trips, hands-on activities, viewing of live medical procedures, discussions with real healthcare professionals and fun! This program is offered by Cuyahoga Community College along with the generous support of community partnerships; including, CVS/pharmacy Charitable Trust. There is no cost to participate in the program. There is a limit of 25 seats per session. To be eligible, students must have:
- An interest in exploring healthcare careers
- A minimum B average (as verified by a copy of one full year of transcripts/report cards)
- Good attendance history
- Good attitude/behavior records

** Additional note: Acceptance into the program is not guaranteed. Those interested in participating in this program must submit an application online, a Teacher/Guidance Counselor Recommendation Form, report cards or transcripts for the last full academic year, and a Parental Consent Form in order to be considered.
