Health Careers Summer Academy for 5th and 6th Graders

The Health Careers Summer Academy is an amazing two-week camp for students entering grades 5 and 6 in the fall of 2010.

Through hands-on experiences and field trips, students will be exposed to a variety of healthcare careers and their educational requirements, with a strong focus on upgrading math, science, and reading skills. For the summer of 2010 there will be three, two-week camps offered at Tri-C's Eastern, Metro, and Western Campuses.

There are 25 seats available for each camp. There is no cost for this program; however, acceptance is not guaranteed. Eligible students will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Health Careers Summer Academy for 5th and 6th Graders

To be eligible, students must have:

A minimum C average
Good attendance history
Good attitude/behavior records

Students that would like to be considered must submit the following:

1. Complete the online application (with the help of a parent or guardian)

After you have submitted your application, print and have the following documents completed:

4. Obtain one full academic year of report cards; i.e. December 2008 - December 2009 (Legible photocopies are acceptable).

5. Mail the Parental Consent Form, Teacher Recommendation Form and Report Cards to:

Application deadline is Friday, April 23, 2010. Accepted students will be notified by mail in mid May. Students are encouraged to apply early since space is limited.
